Pearl Fincher Museum Of Fine Arts Spring and Summer Art Camps!

The Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts has another fantastic lineup of Summer Art Camps for 2026!

The Pearl’s Summer Art Camps offer six one-week sessions from June 16 to July 31, designed to spark creativity and imagination in young artists. , in full-day or half-day formats.

Camps run Tuesday through Friday and are available in morning (9 AM to 12 PM), afternoon (1 PM to 4 PM), or full-day (9 AM to 4 PM) options for ages 5 to 8 and 9 to 13.

Each themed week is packed with creative crafts, artful activities, and marvelous masterpieces, giving kids the chance to explore new techniques, express their creativity, and have fun making art all summer long!

Summer Art Camps for 5-8 year olds:

 

Color World

Week 1: 6/16 – 6/19

Drawing inspiration from the museum’s summer exhibition, Chromatic: A World of Color, campers will explore the wonders of color through hands-on art projects, an interactive gallery tour, and engaging activities led by experienced art educators. The “Color World” theme invites children to discover how artists use color to express emotions, tell stories, and create magical worlds. From painting and collage to sculpture and collaborative murals, each project is crafted to spark creativity and celebrate individuality.

 

Call of the Wild

Week 2: 6/23 – 6/26

Campers will explore the animal kingdom through art, discovering fascinating creatures from around the world while expressing their own creativity. Activities include fun, hands -on art projects, virtual tours of museum galleries featuring animal-themed artwork, story time and interactive activities that bring animals to life. Take a walk on the wild side with us!

 

Masterpiece Remix

Week 3: 7/7 – 7/10

This immersive camp celebrates the wonders of creativity by introducing campers to the world’s most inspiring master artists. From Picasso’s playful shapes to Monet’s dreamy landscapes, your child will discover a new artist each day, learn about their unique styles, and create masterpieces of their own.

 

Under the Sea Adventures

Young campers will enjoy an ocean-themed art camp, “Under the Sea,” where imagination and discovery meet the wonders of marine life. During the camp, artists will craft playful sea creatures, design their own water habitats, enjoy stories about life under the sea, and play games and activities that encourage curiosity and teamwork.

 

Exploring 3D Creativity

Week 5: 7/21 – 7/24

Throughout the camp, students will explore the works of celebrated modern and contemporary artists such as Dale Chihuly, Jeff Koons, Alexander Calder, and more. These visionaries have redefined what art can be by pushing the boundaries of sculpture and installation, using innovative materials and techniques to create works that captivate and inspire. Campers will learn about these artists’ unique approaches and experiment with the same spirit of exploration and invention.

 

Passport to Adventure

Week 6: 7/28 – 7/31

Throughout the week, campers will discover art from around the world. Each day will focus on a different region or country, giving children the opportunity to learn about unique styles, materials, and techniques. Projects may include creating masks inspired by African heritage, painting landscapes in the style of Asian brushwork, making mosaic tiles reminiscent of Latin American traditions, and experimenting with Aboriginal dot painting. The multicultural theme encourages appreciation for diversity and creativity while fostering curiosity about global cultures.

 

Summer Art Camps for 9-12  year olds:

 

Kinetic Canvas

Week 1: 6/16 – 6/19

Unleash your child’s creativity in an immersive camp where motion meets color! Students will master the color wheel through hands on projects that bring their vision to life using vibrant color and fluorescent paints. From glowing landscapes to energetic designs, create works that truly pop!

 

Animation Station

Week 2: 6/23 – 6/26

Step into the spotlight at Animation Station, a week-long journey where your child’s drawings start to move! Explore the magic of storyboarding and character design while learning the 12 principles of animation to bring stories to life. From flipbooks to stop motion techniques, every camper will produce their own short animation.

 

Masterpiece Remix

Week 3: 7/7 – 7/10

Transform classic masterpieces into modern explosions of color during Masterpiece Remix week. We will study the works of legendary artist like van Gogh and Matisse, then reinvent them using high intensity “pop” palettes and bold, non -natural hues. Campers will five historical art a high energy makeover!

 

Hyperrealism

Week 4: 7/14 – 7/17

Uncover the secrets of drawing realism, a week dedicated to the art of hyperrealism with a focus on value, texture, and precision. Campers will learn professional techniques for drawing glass and metal, focusing on how to capture sharp reflections and the complex way light bends through water.

 

Graffiti Street Beats

Week 5: 7/21 – 7/24

Dive into the world of urban art, where campers will transform blank spaces into vibrant masterpieces! Students will learn the fundamentals of stylized lettering and bold line work before designing and tagging their very own mini graffiti wall.

 

Splatter Studio

Week 6: 7/28 – 7/31

Unleash the Chaos! Inspired by the action painting stye of Jackson Pollock, this camp is all about the joy of the process. Campers will explore how gravity, speed and motion create one of a kind art. Create animals from your imagination and design new worlds for them to live in a judgment-free environment that builds on confidence while producing vibrant, gallery-worthy Artwork!
