Little Brushes Summer Art Series 2026

For Ages 6 and Up

Daily, Monday – Friday from 10am – 2pm

Looking for a fun and creative outlet for your little artist? Then Little Brushes has exactly what you are looking for!

At Little Brushes we offer a fun-filled party atmosphere where your little artists can have a blast creating their own masterpieces. From painting to crafting and everything in between Little Brushes fosters a friendly and collaborative environment, providing everything your little artist will need to bring out their creative spirit.

Bring your lunch, drinks and a snack. Come one day or every day this week, we’ll provide the FUN!

Each day we will feature one of our paintings in the morning, break for lunch and then continue into the afternoon with a unique craft. We’ll have different activities each day, so you can sign up for one day, or come all week! Little Brushes will be led by professional artists specialized in children’s art education.

Kids Painting Birthday Parties

Little Brushes® kids painting classes celebrate every child’s creativity!

Customizable for age, skill level and event type, these parties are nonstop fun for birthdays celebrations big and small.

Little Brushes paint parties in Katy are tons of fun for kids, and easy breezy for parents. We plan the activities, and take care of setup and cleanup for you. Art supplies are ready and waiting when you arrive – including aprons to help protect clothing. All you need to bring are the kids and the food. (We even provide plates and utensils.)

Experienced instructors guide the kids step by step through the painting, based on the ages and skill levels of the group. The painting process is closely guided and well-structured, while giving kids the wiggle room they need to be kids.

We love letting them express their creativity! Kids can change colors, patterns or other details to make the painting their own. And of course, everyone goes home with the coolest party favor ever: their very own masterpiece to remind them of all the fun they had.

Field Trips

Katy Homeschool Program

Monthly sign up for day time art lessons ideal for homeschoolers who want in person classes. Learn more than just painting. Learn basic drawing, sketching, and building up to a finish canvas.

The in person art class for homeschoolers introduces students to the creative process through a structured, month-by month progression.

Each month focuses on a new artistic theme and includes guided instruction in sketching, drawing, blending, and painting techniques. Students practice skills throughout the month, building toward a completed 8×10 painted canvas during the final class of each month. This progressive structure supports fundamental artistic development while providing students with a finished artwork they can proudly take home!

Program Goals

• Teach foundational art skills including sketching, shading, blending, and texturing.
• Encourage creativity, imagination, and artistic expression.
• Build student confidence through successful completion of a monthly final project.
• Strengthen fine motor skills and visual planning abilities.
• Provide a fun, enriching after-school experience for elementary students.

Monthly Instructional Flow

Each month follows a consistent instructional progression designed to gradually develop technique and artistic skill.

Week 1 – Theme Introduction and Basic Sketching: Students learn shapes, lines, and structure.

Week 2 – Developing Form, Composition, and Color Mixing: Students practice painting smaller projects focused on technique.

Week 3 – Guided Painting Practice: Students explore blending, layering, and texture.

Week 4 – Final Project: Students complete a full 8×10 canvas representing the month’s theme.
