Camp Huawni For Ages 1st -11th Grade.
Nestled in the Piney Woods of East Texas, Camp Huawni is a traditional, throwback summer camp for boys and girls. We’ve crafted exceptional summers since 1965, cultivating an environment where friendships and creativity thrive.
Completely Unplugged
Camp Huawni is a coed summer camp located on 600+ acres in the pristine Piney Woods of East Texas. We are truly off the beaten path with miles of hiking trails, abundant forests, and our own private waterfront. When our campers are unplugged from their phones and immersed in nature, their friendships and creativity thrive.
Small & Personal
Camp Huawni caps out at 100 girl campers and 70 boy campers. We hire 50 counselors dedicated to giving us ample time and individual attention to truly know your child. Last summer our highest camper to counselor ratio was 3.2 to 1.
Camp Huawni overnight summer camp has more than 20 summer fun activities – really! The Huawni daily schedule is like your grandma’s secret recipe – it has been carefully knit together over the past 60 years to make your day a ridiculously fun one. Campers, you’ll get to dive into six daily activities per day – three in the morning and three in the afternoon – not to mention all the special activities we have planned throughout the session.

Camp Huawni Overnight Summer Camp Cabins Are A Breath Of Fresh Air
So why open air cabins? Great question! We have open-air cabins for one simple reason – for kids to experience nature. We’ve found that this is actually a unique opportunity for you as a parent to give your child the experience of going to bed at night to crickets, the moon, and stars.
When the session is over, campers actually prefer the cabins the way they are….it’s sometimes an unexpected perk to overnight summer camp.

Camp is definitely an investment in your child, and making it easy to pay for is something we feel highly responsible for.
For first-year parents who just found out about Camp Huawni right before the summer, we have an EZ Pay option that allows you to pay for Camp over a few months.
Also, once you show your interest in Camp, we’ll send you a new camper discount code, so be on the lookout.
The one big benefit to signing up now is that you’ll save your child a spot for this upcoming summer. This is important because there are only 150 spots available per session. Our smaller camp allows us to know each and every child – the downside is that we fill up quick!
