Keep your kiddos active and learning each summer with Sea Center’s fun and educational summer camp series!

On select Fridays throughout June, July, and August, campers take part in marine science experiments, squid dissections, wetland bug collections, behind-the-scenes tours, and so much more!

Sea Center Texas is a fish hatchery, marine aquarium, and education center located on 75 acres in Lake Jackson, Texas. It is operated by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department in partnership with the Coastal Conservation Association, The Dow Chemical Company and US Fish and Wildlife Service Sportfish Restoration Funds.

The facility opened in 1996 and includes a visitor center with aquaria and exhibits of Texas marine life, the largest redfish hatchery in the world, 36 one-acre fish culture ponds, an outdoor wetland exhibit, and a youth fishing pond.

Enjoy Story Time!

Bring your little ones and join Sea Center Texas for our story times sessions. Participants will enjoy a reading of coastal wildlife-themed stories, explore real examples of animals and habitats seen in the picture books, and create a craft to take home. For children ages 3-8 years old.

Distance Learning

Connect with real scientists and bring marine science education to your classroom through Sea Center’s virtual learning programs.

From marine food webs, to fish morphology, to wetland water science, we offer a variety of TEKS aligned programs for all grade levels. Sea Center Texas’ distance learning programs are always free.
