As an organization, STEMuses is dedicated to empowering middle school girls to explore and thrive in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math. We believe that passion – not stigma- should define a girl’s path. Our mission is to break down barriers and build up opportunities by connecting bright, curious young minds with inspiring mentors and hands-on STEM experiences. For more information about us as a nonprofit, please visit our website: stemusesinc.org

In 2022, we hosted our inaugural STEM Career Expo where over 30 girls got to meet over 15 professional women in STEM careers including Dr. Kesha Harris-Henderson, radiation oncologist, Cicely Mitchell, oil and gas engineer at Chevron, and Lisa Beckman chief food scientist at Starbucks, and more! Our keynote speaker was Nancy Flores, CIO of McKesson, who shared her experience as a woman in STEM and advice she had for the girls’ aspiring STEM careers. The event was a great success and we are honored and excited to bring our summit to the Houston area!
