Galveston

Memorial Day Ceremony

This Memorial Day, we come together to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. There will be live music, refreshments, activities and more. Hockley

Honoring Our Heroes

Oil Ranch is located just outside of the Houston area and it lets you see a glimpse of what life is like on a real working ranch. Come out and enjoy a fun filled day where you and your family can make memories that last a lifetime. Oil Ranch has a variety of amusements and attractions to choose from.

With over 50 acres of family fun, we are the best entertainment park around. We have a huge assortment of activities here at the Ranch. You can milk a cow, take a hayride, feed cattle, learn to rope a calf, test your paintball shooting skills, fish at Lake Buenas Noches, and that’s just the start!

Memorial Day Ceremony

This event is a cherished tradition within Precinct 4, offering a time for reflection and remembrance. The ceremony will take place at the War Memorial, a solemn landmark since 1985, which stands as a tribute to the brave men and women of Harris County who gave their lives in World War I and other subsequent conflicts. Together, we will honor their sacrifices, celebrate their bravery, and express our deepest gratitude for their service to our country.

Humble

Spend your Memorial Day Weekend outside at Jesse Jones Park! Participate in a fun, Nature-Themed Selfie Scavenger Hunt! Visit the Nature Center to pick up your scavenger hunt, then explore the park and take selfies with the item or location you are seeking. All ages welcome.

Houston’s newest destination for fun has all the splashes of a premier Waterpark. The Adventure portion includes everything from Alligators to Ziplines! Wild Isle is a floating obstacle course; there’s a petting zoo, giant maze, gemstone mining & more

As a heartfelt thank you, all Gold Star Families will also receive free 2025 Season Passes.

Sugar Land

Each Memorial Day, we invite our community to join us as we pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.

We’ve prepared a thoughtful program featuring patriotic music performed by the Lone Star Symphony, a military flyover, speeches by distinguished speakers, a tribute to the fallen soldiers, presentations by the Sugar Land Police Department Honor Guard, and various military-related vendor booths, food trucks, and more.

Schedule of Events:
10:30 a.m. – Exhibits and Patriotic Concert
11 a.m. – Formal Tribute
Noon – Raising of Flag of Observance

Please note, parking at Memorial Park will be extremely limited. However, we are offering free shuttle services from Brazos River Park, running from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The Woodlands

Memorial Day Tribute

Memorial Day in The Woodlands event pays tribute to all military service men and women who lost their lives while serving our country. The tribute features live music, children’s activities, strolling entertainment and more. The evening concludes with a fireworks display choreographed to a patriotic soundtrack.

5:00 p.m. – Welcome and National Anthem
5:10 p.m. – Live Music by Nervous Rex (Variety)
7:00 p.m. – Keynote Speaker Lieutenant Colonel Rais Sanchez and AUSA Houston Honor Your Hero Ceremony
7:45 p.m. – Live Music by Nervous Rex continues
8:55 p.m. – Fireworks (time approximate; weather permitting)
