Established in 1921 by the Episcopal Diocese of Texas, Camp Allen is a modern year-round facility located one hour northwest of Houston near Navasota, Texas. Camp Allen accommodates a variety of spiritual, social, corporate, and educational events/camps for kids, families, and adults.

The Discovery Program

Comprises outdoor education for over 7,000 youth per school year, and one of the largest Episcopal Summer Camp Programs in the nation with over 1,900 children attending annually.

Discovery For Schools

In order to provide the best possible program for each school group, schools will work with the Discovery Program Director to create a customized schedule.  Considerations such as length of stay, student needs, classroom instructional blocks and evening activities are evaluated to create an ideal experience so every school can meet their goals.   Trips can range from one day with four hours of instruction to a multi-day trip with several hours of instruction each day. Course options may be combined to meet the groups interests, capabilities, and needs.

The Hotel and Conference Center

Hosts up to 350 people in 145 hotel rooms with over 30,000 square feet of meeting space. Guest amenities like online registration, airport shuttle transportation from Houston, is appealing to local, national & international conferences.

The Abundant Living Conference

Is for seniors, family members, and their caregivers. The conference explores the spiritual aspects of aging and participants learn about the latest aging research from faculty, researchers, and gerontologist and other experts on aging.

Birds & Blooms

Held every spring with expert led workshops and experienced instructors and guides for bird watching, wildlife photography, Audubon presentations, live raptor presentations, and more.

Summer Camps For Moms

Every July the summer camps for kids in Houston hosts mothers of all ages for a weekend of relaxation, renewal, and adventure.

Summer Camps

Camp Allen offers week long residential camps sessions for ages 8-16. Camp Allen is the largest Episcopal summer camp program in the nation and welcomes over 2,000 campers annually. The heart of Camp Allen has been to love God and make Him known. We believe and hope that by sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ, our campers will see the depth of His love for us.
