Producing compelling theater and unique style

Founded in 1967 by Jeannette Clift George, A.D. Players Theater seeks to produce compelling theater, from a Christian world-view, that engages a diverse audience. They pioneered a unique style of theater, committed to producing plays and programs that uphold human value, offer creativity, and promote literacy and education. The company is one of Houston’s largest resident theater companies, impacting more than nine million people over its lifetime. Annually, the company produces Mainstage shows, tours with A.D. Players On Tour, and has a full Performing Arts Academy.

The A.D. Players Performing Arts Academy was established in 1992, and provides training for artists of all ages with a primary focus on ages 5-18.

The Academy specializes in nurturing the mind, body, and spirit of young artists. Additionally, they offer educational partnerships such as in-school instruction, after-school programs, and workshops.

Classes, Workshops & Master Classes
Academy classes, workshops, and master classes offer students a learning experience that engages their imagination with hands-on education, developing skills and knowledge across various departments from rehearsal and backstage, to acting and music. These environments provide a fascinating look at the process of producing theatrical performances.

All on-site classes take place at our Saint Street Studio, 2613 Saint Street, Houston, Texas 77027.

Satellite Classes
Satellite classes are located all over the city. If you would like to find out more information on any of our offerings or to register, visit our website.
