March 26 – 28 – Bayou City Art Festival Houston-Memorial Park
This event boasts a stress-free outdoor gallery brimming with 300 artists working in 19 artistic media. Adding to the festive outdoor gallery are wine cafés and restaurants and a performing arts stage with on-going multicultural musical and dance entertainment presented by The Houston Arts Alliance. There is also an Interactive Creative Zone for Children where kids and parents can explore the fun of art. Estimated attendence is about 60,000 people. April 10 & 11 – Downtown Children’s Festival
This is a huge event that we participate in every year. It is considered “Houston's Official Family Celebration.” They have 8 featured stages and the Kid’s Directory is one of them. The festival benefits Child Advocates and draws about 50,000 people each year. You definitely want to be a part of one of Houston’s largest events. April 17 & 18 & April 24 & 25 – International Festival
Get ready to experience the Caribbean Islands at iFest 2010! Fun for the young and young at heart. The Target Kids Zone is a festival within the festival. It provides a fun, educational wonderland which means non-stop entertainment for children of all ages. Everything's in place for tons of fun, from favorite performers on the Target Kids Stage to mini golf to free arts and crafts! The International Festival draws about 250,000 people for both weekends. May 14 – 16 – Pasadena Strawberry Festival
A three day event held annually to celebrate a time when Pasadena, Texas was known as the Strawberry Capital of the South. Event offers a wide variety of indoor and outdoor activities, attractions, entertainment, shopping and even a carnival. There is a kid’s section called Buzz Berry’s Adventure Zone that has fun and games for all ages including plays, contests, and interactive activities. Attendence last year was about 58,000 people and they expect more this year. For more information please visit www.strawberryfest.org.
