October 2016 E-Blast

Marching into fall are we. Just now putting the September edition to bed and then we're on to the prequel of the holiday season...October. And have we got some fun things in store for YOU!

SPOOKTACULAR FUN GUIDEspooktacular fun guide
A special section devoted to our advertisers that are planning festive and fun activities in October sliding into November. Think pumpkins, corn mazes, hayrides, spooky costumes and parties, fundraisers, holiday special events, holiday family retreats and dare I say this...advertisers that are looking to get a jump on the Christmas season. Last year a number of our current advertisers spooked up and enlarged their ads for October. This year we are even offering a tremendous prize for the most spooktacular ad. Great fun for everyone! We are filling up fast, a Christmas tree farm and some retail folks have already reserved space to get an early start on Christmas.

Deadline for reserving your space will be September 12th.

Contact us for a hauntingly scary good deal! And be sure to talk to us about promoting your business and/or event or Halloween special on our Facebook or Twitter feed.

Christmas in October

CHRISTMAS IN OCTOBER...
Santa's discounts just ahead of the holiday rush!

All new and returning advertisers (defined as having been out of The Kid's Directory for a year or more) are being offered a holiday package at substantial savings...at or below our 12 month rate! The savings for our most common sized ad will be over $100 and for, say, a full page, the savings will climb to over $250. There is a catch however; you've got to run for 3 consecutive months (Oct., Nov., and Dec.). Contact your sales rep. for some additional promotional offers.

OCTOBER EVENTS...
ALL ADVERTISERS INVITED!!!
This also means that The KD will be overprinting our publications to accommodate these events...i.e. More Bang for Your Buck!Birth Fair

The Birth Fair, now in its 15th year, is a small and highly targeted event. For those of you looking to market to pregnant and expanding families, this is a great venue. The atmosphere is intimate, relaxed and educational. We've supported and sponsored this event for years. The event will be located on Waugh Drive just north of Memorial Drive between River Oaks and Downtown. The contact website is www.houbirth.org. The contact person for booth space is Andrea Moran at andreamoran02@gmail.com. We will have a booth there and we will of course be handing out The Kid's Directory. Attendance is expected to exceed 1500 folks.Northwest Private School Preview

15th Annual Northwest Private School Preview. This too is a well established and successful event. As the title implies, it is a collection of over 20 private schools from Northwest Houston who are there to meet and greet perspective parents and students. It is well attended with crowds of about 300. Represented schools offer educational programs to kids from pre-school through high school. The KD will be there as both a vendor and the sponsor of the event. For advertisers operating in the Northwest and who offer enrichment programs of all types or offer up services that benefit these demographics, this is a perfect opportunity for you to also get acquainted with perspective customers...whether they be schools, parents, or the children.

For more information contact The Kid's Directory or Angie Ramirez who is in charge of the event. Her contact information is angie.ramirez@cypresschristain.org.

If you won't be physically attending, don't worry. Your ad in The Kid's Directory will be!
