August 2015 E-Blast

We are coming up on a pivotal time of year for so many of our advertisers. Although it's soon to be August, for many customers, it's really the start of a brand new year; a kind of new beginning. Children are preparing to enter day care for the first time, about to start kindergarten, or having finished with summer baseball, might just want to give gymnastics a try this fall. Then there is the start of piano classes or the process of mastering a second language. The fall is when most all things relating to our kids either changes or begins. Yet, almost as soon as this movement to something new begins, it screeches to a halt. After September, the kids will be set in their new routine and won't be available for capture again until maybe the start of the spring semester after the first of the year. For the customers we serve, now it's sort of the time to fish or cut bait.

The Kid's Directory has the perfect solution for these critical months of August and September.

The Kid's Directory Back to School Guide

The Back to School Guide (BTS)
The Back to School Guide (BTS) special section houses all of our schools who are looking to enhance their fall enrollment and further their branding with Houston Families. The section also focuses on promoting children's enrichment programs of all types, fundraising activities and events, academic tutoring and everything in between. To get the most out of your advertising dollars, I would highly recommend jumping in earlier rather than later to make sure you capture the largest audience. If your business counts on this time of year for a boost, this is the spot for you!

The Kid's Directory After School GangThe After School Gang
The After School Gang is a promotion that we offer to all our advertisers who involve our kids in things like sports, theatre, academic furtherance (think tutoring, chess, language classes, science and math enhancement, etc.), hobbies that keep our kids busy after school. It is a listing on a page in every one of our publications (approx. 90,000 at this time) as well as a page on our website which can then be linked to the advertiser's website.
There is no cost associated with this service; it is simply a value additive
for our advertisers.

The Kid's Directory Field Trip Guide

The Field Trip Guide (FTG)
The Field Trip Guide (FTG) is a special section that houses advertisers who offer venues appropriate for a school, scouting, church, or family outing. Some of our advertisers who have been included in this section include the Arboretum, museums, pumpkin patches, Christmas tree farms, manufacturing operations, theatres, ranches and an array of indoor and outdoor activity destinations. Remember the KD is held on to forever by lots of Moms and Dads so this section will have a lasting effect for all of you who choose to be included.

Special Delivery Special
Special Delivery Special from The Kid's DirectorySaving the best for last, once a year, the KD does something rather extraordinary; our Special Delivery Special. Each September we hand address and hand deliver a Kid's Directory to every senior school administrator in our distribution system. In that distribution system there are in excess of 2,000 public and private schools. Remember these are the same senior school administrators who decide on which field trips will be undertaken and advise and direct parents on what enrichment programs would be best suited for their kids. This is no easy thing for the KD to do but it has been so effective for our advertisers that we commit to do it this one time a year.
Don't miss out on this opportunity!
